How SafeSnap® Works

With a SafeSnap syringe, once an injection is made the used needle easily retracts into the barrel of the syringe, shielding it from human contact and preventing re-use.

The plunger rod is broken off once the needle is fully retracted, at which point it is inserted into the front end of the barrel. The syringe is no longer usable and the needle is completely enclosed within the barrel. The syringe is transformed into a permanent sharps container for the contaminated needle.
